Short CV: Ar. Souktik Bhattacherjee is a pioneering space architect, computational designer, and PhD researcher at the Andy Thomas Centre for Space Resources, University of Adelaide. He is dedicated to designing safe lunar habitats for future astronauts and parastronauts and is recognized for bridging space architecture, advanced medicine, and AI-driven urban design. Souktik founded LASAR LAB, where he leads research into deployable origami structures and the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) for extraterrestrial settlement planning.Souktik holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Architecture from Jadavpur University, graduating as a gold medalist for his outstanding academic and thesis achievements. His experience includes industry leadership, large-scale urban projects, and published studies on lunar habitability, self-sustainable bases, remote robotic surgery in space, and AI’s impact on city development. He is a member of internationally recognized organizations including the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Space Surgery Association, and OSMED (Organization for Space Medicine, Engineering, and Design).Souktik is an invited speaker and mentor for international conferences (e.g., SSEA 2022, ICES 2022, ISU Adelaide 2023, Moon Village Association) and has authored papers such as "Designing a Lunar Health Maintenance Facility for Remote Surgery" for the 2024 International Astronautical Congress. He is actively engaged in science outreach and education for interplanetary living, and continues to champion sustainable, accessible futures at the intersection of architecture, medicine, and advanced AI
