Short CV: Basma Eldrsee is a Libyan Software Engineering undergraduate, space enthusiast, and aspiring space life researcher. She is passionate about the intersection of technology, biology, and human survival beyond Earth, with a vision to become the first African Libyan woman astronaut from North Africa. Basma is a recognized STEM leader, currently serving as Project Manager at Junior Enterprise University of Benghazi and LYBOTICS Coordinator, where she empowers youth through robotics competitions and educational outreach. She also hosted Libya’s first technology podcast, promoting innovation, astronomy, and space science to a wider audience. Her work focuses on connecting underserved regions to global opportunities in STEM and space exploration, integrating technology, education, and mentorship to inspire the next generation of changemakers. Through Lean SpaceTech, Basma aims to contribute to a truly global space community that ensures space exploration is inclusive and accessible to all.
