Eden Abeselom

Short CV: Eden Abeselom Habteslasie is a distinguished space engineer and researcher at the Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute. She specializes in CubeSat attitude control, space systems design, and engineering R&D. Eden earned a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a master's degree in Space Engineering.An accomplished leader, Eden is an IAF Emerging Space Leader (2023), a recipient of a prestigious fellowship from the Italian Space Agency (ASI) (2024), and a 2025 AIAA ASCEND Diverse Dozen honoree. She is deeply committed to STEM outreach, serving as a coordinator for the Ethio Space Kids Club and the Women in Space and Engineering project.Furthermore, she contributes as an event coordinator for the SGAC's STEA initiative and actively leads STEM engagement across Africa. Her work includes authoring and hosting capacity-building webinars and contributing to nanosatellite projects for Ethiopia’s space program.
