Short CV: Eleni (Helen) Petrakou is a physicist and freelance science journalist with a research background in experimental particle physics and solar physics.
She has contributed to research and lectured on particle physics and astrophysics. As a science journalist she has written for Scientific American, The Guardian, and other international outlets. Eleni also runs "The Ph-word," a blog dedicated to physics news.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, she currently works on launching Orbital, a startup tackling the forecasting of space weather.
