Short CV: Jainul Abedin is the founder and CEO of Abyom SpaceTech & Defence, a pioneering Indian aerospace startup focused on developing reusable rocket launch vehicle technologies and space tourism. He launched Abyom SpaceTech in October 2020 with support from the Government of India (MCA, INSPACe, ISRO) and top academic and innovation institutions. Jainul, originally from a non-aerospace background, self-educated in rocket science, and has led his team to conduct over 150 tests of their indigenous rocket engine technology, including India's first validated pintle injection system. His vision centers on democratizing access to space sustainably. Recognized by Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30, Jainul has been featured in major media and received multiple awards, including the Chief Minister Award for UP’s first SpaceTech startup. Abyom SpaceTech is also known for India's premier commercial rocket engine testing facility at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad.
