Short CV: Katherinne Herrera-Jordan is a molecular biologist and microbiologist from Guatemala, currently pursuing her M.Sc. at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC). She is the founder and CEO of Verne Technologies, Guatemala's first space-focused startup, which develops affordable microgravity simulators to democratize space research access. Katherinne is also the co-founder and president of the Guatemalan Association of Space Sciences and Engineering (AGICE). Her research includes NASA-funded projects focused on space microbiology, and she serves as co-lead of the Space Medicine and Life Sciences Project Group at the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC). She is a passionate advocate for space sciences, STEM education, and space law.
