Mauro Franqueira
Short CV: Mauro Franqueira is a PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida, specializing in dynamics of non-Keplerian orbits and space mission design focused on planetary defense. He is a Fulbright Fellow and was awarded the SGAC Global Rising Star 2024. Mauro has interned at Active Space Technologies, improving thermal protection monitoring instruments for atmospheric re-entry, and he is trained as an analogue astronaut. His research aims to develop innovative asteroid deflection strategies to protect Earth from celestial threats.
