Through global competitions, rigorous STEAM programs, astronaut training, community engagement, and elite mission preparation, we are redefining access to space by lifting up girls from all backgrounds. Guided by Founder Dr. Mindy Howard’s “Dream! Dare! Do!” ethos, Cosmic Girls is building the next generation of female space pioneers and the skilled technical workforce the industry urgently needs.

  • 2022 - Origins: Sparked by the 2022 “Women to Space” coin project by the Royal Dutch Mint to highlight gender inequality in space exploration.
  • 2023 - Launch of Global Competition: Active competitions in 2023 and 2024, culminating in the formal launch of the “6 Girls 6 Continents” program.
  • Education Expansion: Started offering virtual training partnerships, including analog astronaut experiences in collaboration with MMAARS

  • Cosmic Forum : A safe, moderated global community where girls can connect, support each other, receive mentoring and gain early exposure to space through webinars and interactive events that spark their journey.
  • Program Partners : For more ambitious participants, our international partners offer extensive free programs. These range from building, programming, and launching satellites, to virtual analogue astronaut missions, cell biology and research on the International Space Station, aerospace engineering and flight dynamics, astronaut health and training, and human health in space. Girls also develop vital skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, leadership, resilience, public speaking, and creative expression.
  • Analog Astronaut Training (via MMAARS): Select participants join MMAARS virtual analog astronautics training—simulating missions through immersive, interactive curricula at no cost.
  • 6 Girls, 6 Continents Competition : A flagship global contest where six finalists receive world-class commercial astronaut training and international visibility through our docuseries. One extraordinary winner will earn a suborbital spaceflight.
